The Q&A Archives: Huge flowers cause Hydrengeas to sage then break

Question: Hello Experts! The house that I moved into 2.5 yrs ago has hydrangeas in the front. The flowers are so HUGE that they bend the plants to the ground (not so nice looking). I tried encasing the plants with wire rings to support the stems as they grow but last year when they flowered they still drooped - but broke the stems off over the wire rings. Can you please offer a better solution? Thanks!
