We planted some seeds for cucumbers, beets and sunflowers and within a day or 2 the peat pots they were planted in were dug up. My sunflowers are gone and they were not very big yet. We think there is a squirrel or 2 that may be doing this and would like to keep it away. Last year we had a neighborhood cat that kept all animals out of our yard, but we think he died over the winter. |
The easiest solution is to cage your plants. A physical barrier is about the only way to keep the wildlife from getting to your plants. I use chicken wire and make cylinders to set over my plants. It keeps bunnies and squirrels at bay. Hope this works for you! |
