I am planting tomatoes in an 8 inch pot. The plant is growing nicely. There are a few tiny tomatoes already but the leaves on the bottom of the plant are turning yellow. What am I doing wrong? What can I do to fix the problem?

It is normal for tomato plants to lose their lower leaves. As the leaves age they turn yellow. You can simply pull them off the plant. It could be that your tomato plant needs a little more root room so you might consider transplanting it into a larger pot. You can do this without interrupting the flowering and fruiting process by filling a large container with moistened potting soil and setting the current pot into the soil to make a hole. Then carefully slide the tomato plant out of the pot and set it in the hole in the potting soil. Water well and your plant won't even know it has been moved. It will set more flowers and fruit as the summer progresses. Best wishes with your tomato plant.
