The Q&A Archives: blood lily

Question: how long after i plant the bulb should it sprout? Also how much water should i give it?

Answer: It takes 4-6 weeks for the bulb to develop roots and send up an above ground shoot. Keep the soil watered - once or twice a week should be sufficient. Just pretend it is already growing and will need an inch of water per week, just like your other perennial plants and you won't forget to water it. Enjoy!
