After flowers have died off on my perennials (garden phlox, foxglove and veronica) do I cut back and how much?

You can prune off the entire flowering stalk on your foxglove. Cut it down to foliage level to make the plant look neat and tidy. Phlox and veronica can be sheared back to just below the faded flowers. Most will grow and rebloom later in the season. Enjoy your garden.
