As long as you store them in a cool, dark place, you can either store them in mesh bags (or pantyhose) or tie them together and hang them in bunches. To start a string take four onions and tie the stalks together, then tie the knotted stalks to a long piece of string. Hang this from a rafter in the ceiling or other high place. You can add more onions one at a time by tying their stalks around the string. Hope this helps!
