Wait until the seed pods turn a tannish brown and are dry to the touch, then collect them and put them in a paper bag. When the seeds are ripe the seed pods will burst open. You can plant the seeds in the fall and water them regularly until fall/winter rains arrive. The seeds need a cold period before they will sprout. In the spring the seeds will sprout for you. Enjoy!
