I have a 40'planter in full Florida sun and want to know what you would suggest be planted that does not require high maintenance. It gets water from a sprinkling system twice weekly. I prefer either bushes in the area.

There are several plants you might consider: Spirea japonica 'Anthony Waterer' is a dwarf variety of Spirea. It grows 2-3' tall and wide, has reddish tinged foliage and maroon flowers. Other plants to consider include Santolina, Rosemary, Lavender and Sarcococca. Each of these plants can be sheared or pruned to a height and width of 2-3' and all grow well in your gardening region. Hope these suggestions are helpful!
