I have a beautiful backyard but I have a problem. I need to find out what kind of grass will grow under shade trees if any.

I'm afraid turfgrasses won't grow well in the shade. There are some shade tolerant varieties but even they will need to be replaced or overseeded every few years. You can try a shady lawn mix (look for fescue as the main grass type) or you can choose to plant something else in the area. Try groundcovers such as wild ginger, goutweed, ivy or pachysandra. Or, check local nurseries for the groundcovers that grow best in your part of Louisiana. Hope this information helps!
