The Q&A Archives: moving plants

Question: i am moving soon and i would like to take my newly planted lilac bush and wiegalis with me will they make it?

Answer: If you've just recently planted them you should be able to dig them up and repot them without problem. I hope you still have the nursery pots! If not, you can temporarily set the roots into plastic garbage bags for transporation to their new homes. Keep the bags out of direct sunshine so the roots don't bake and replant them as quickly as possible in their new landscape. Best wishes with the move!
