The Q&A Archives: Ripe

Question: How do I know when to harvest my onions? And what is the procedure.

Answer: You'll know when your onions are ready to harvest when the tops of the plants turn yellow and begin to fold over. This indicates they are maturing. You can then pull or dig the onion out of the ground. Best wishes with your crop!
