do i have to do anything to start shaping my new weeping mulberry tree or will it shape itself? |
Your weeping mulberry tree should develop branches that hang downward all on its own without any help from you. Sometimes the branches start out upright or straight out (like a bad hair day) but usually droop on their own to produce that umbrella look. If the branches appear to need a little help you can gently bend them down and weigh them down until they get the idea. I've hung fishing weights on the branches of my weeping cherry tree to train them downward. You can do the same with your mulberry. Best wishes with your tree. |
