I'm relatively new at composting and have some left over mushroom compost I used in my vegetable garden. Are there advantages/disadvantages to adding the remainder of the compost to my leaves and grass compost bin? Should I keep it separate? Thanks.

There's no reason for not adding the mushroom compost to your regular compost bin. It will add nitrogen and help break down the rest of the materials in your compost. Go ahead and mix it in.
