Magnolia tree - Knowledgebase Question

We recieved a bare root seedling 4 years ago. It is now about 7 feet tall. We have seen many trees smaller that have been loaded with flowers and we haven't had any yet. Is there something wrong. The trunk and leaves look very healthy.

Unless your magnolia is a named cultivar, it can take up to 15 years to bloom. Try to find out exactly what the cultivar name is. If you can't, there's no way of telling when it will be mature enough to bloom. Wish I had more information to share with you!
