Moving & want to take bulbs with me - have travelled all over with them but can't remember when I can dig them up and how to preserve til we get where we are going permanently - please help |
It is really best for the bulbs to allow them to continue growing and flowering this summer and then allow the foliage to ripen and die down on its own. Once that happens you can dig them up and transplant them. If you need to dig them now, they may not survive the move. However, if you can dig them without harming the bulb or cutting off the roots, you can set them into containers filled with potting soil for transport. Best wishes with the move. |
