I have planted the above for the first time and they are growing well. But
recently I noticed a white
foam-like matter on a few stems. Looks like about 2 inches long. What should I treat this with ?

The foamy matter is probably a sign of spittle bugs. These tiny insects cover themselves with spit like material to protect themselves from predators and from the hot sunshine. You should be able to hose them off with a strong stream of water. They are really small and don't do much damage so hosing them off is the best course of action. Good luck with your plants!
