Your dwarf cryptomeria will grow only 2 to 4 feet tall and wide so you can use a smallish container. I like to plant in containers that are about one third the height of the plant. This way the plant does not look too large or too small for the container. A 3 or 5-gallon container should be just about right for your cryptomeria. Make sure it has adequate drainage holes and fill it with potting soil rather than garden soil. Best wishes with your new plant!
