If you are watering and fertilizing on schedule then I wonder if you have cool season grasses that are dying out now that the weather is warming up? Cool season grasses thrive in the fall and spring, but die out in the summer. Warm season grasses go dormant in the fall and spring but thrive in the summer. By overseeding your cool season lawn with warm season grass seeds you'll have a green lawn nearly all year around.
