I am looking for a perennial to plant over the top of a large stone wall in our back yard. I would like something that would be vine-like, and grow down to cover the wall. What can you suggest?

There are some groundcovers that would work; Vinca minor (Periwinkle), or Hypericum (St. John's Wort). Or, consider Clematis, Honeysuckle, Climbing Rose, or Wisteria. All of these plants have spectacular bloom and will soften the appearance of your rock wall.
