the last freeze in ok hurt our gardenias. they are alive, but not puttin on many leaves. Can I trim them? If not what can be done?

Frost damage can be pruned off now. When you prune you will encourage lots of healthy new growth and the bush will become thick and dense. And, since gardenias bloom on new growth, you should get lots of flowers later this summer. Enjoy!
