Spring and fall are the best times to dig and transplant landscape trees and shrubs. That's when temperatures are lower and rainfall abundant, both of which will lessen stress on the plant. If you must move it now, in summer, do so with care and be sure to keep the plant watered well after the move. Best wishes with your holly.
