Will it hurt to mow off a 3 year old strawberry patch after harvest? They are June bearing plants.

With June bearers it is a good idea to cut off foliage right after harvest. Timing is crucial, either cut plants down as soon as the crop is finished or not at all, otherwise there will not be enough time for new leaves to grow and nourish the plants for the rest of the season. If you want to use a lawn mower for this, set the mower so you leave about 1.5" of plant. Then, fertilize and water deeply.
