Snow on the mountain is really difficult to eliminate once it becomes established. You can dig or pull it out, or you can cover over it with weed barrier, black plastic, cardboard, or anything that will eliminate sunlight. Eventually it will die. Round Up is a contact herbicide and repeated applications will kill out the plant, but it will also damage your desireable plants if you accidentaly get it on them. I'd try several approaches. Pull the weedy plants, spot spray the stubble, then cover over with weed barrier or cardboard and move on to the next clump. If you keep at it, you'll eventually eliminate the pesky weed. Good luck with your project!
