2) Your peppers are young and growing luxuriously and may need to mature a bit to reach their potential heat level. Pepper experts tell us that slightly stressed plants usually produce hotter fruit. So a brief drought spell may make a little difference.
3) You are just "one tough hombre" and need to move up to a hotter pepper like tabasco or (brace yourself) habanero.
