| Red wigglers prefer mulch; earthworms prefer garden soil. You can purchase red worms and introduce them into your compost pile. Mulch or compost is still decomposing and while it does it generates heat - earthworms don't like heat and they will leave (or perish). Red wigglers are a better choice. |
