The Q&A Archives: knock out roses

Question: my knock out roses have just bloomed, some almost finished, should I prune them now so they will bloom again this summer?

Answer: Knock Out Roses will bloom all summer long without any pruning at all. You can certainly prune them down, but it isn't necessary. I would wait until next spring to prune the plants down which will encourage lots of new flowering growth.
