The Q&A Archives: Bye-bye yellow roses

Question: yellow climbing roses, when they start to bloom I see the bud it opens then it opens like the next day completely, and as soon as the wind blows the petals are on the ground what's wrong?

Answer: I think your rose is acting quite naturally. The single flowers on climbing roses are short-lived but freely borne. Even when they last only a day, there will be lots more opening the following day. It is just the nature of climbing roses.
