The Q&A Archives: get rid of gopher

Question: How do I get rid of a gopher that dug a hole nest to my foundation under my deck

Answer: Gophers make quite a labrynith of tunnels; some are main runs, others are dug for ventilation, for nesting, and for waste. Some of these are seldom-used tunnels. On the other hand, he/she could be expanding the main run and just popped up at the end of the run. Of all the products on the market, the surest way of eliminating gophers is with a well-placed trap. If it were my yard, I'd wait to see if more tunnels appeared. If so, I'd get a trap. Best wishes with your landscape!
