The Q&A Archives: Rose bush:

Question: My rose bush, blooms the first of spring and the blooms drops off,by the first of june, and don,t any more. why dont bloom all summer?

Answer: There is nothing wrong with your rose bush - it is a spring blooming rose cultivar. Some are repeat bloomers and you'll get roses all summer long; others bloom only once a year. That's the type you have. If you want to enjoy roses all summer long, you can plant repeat blooming rose cultivars. Best wishes with your garden.
