The Q&A Archives: what kind of flower

Question: I planted some bulbs and can't remember name. Now it's growing like mad. I think it's Gladiola.growing tall with almost tulip looking flowers.I planted in my rose bushes and now they are taking off.3 colors.Yellow, red and pink. Can I dig up some to move? Thanks Mike

Answer: I would wait until they have finished flowering before digging and moving them. This way you can enjoy the flowers and you won't interrupt the growing cycle. When the flowers are spent you can cut them away from the stalk and then dig and transplant the bulbs. Enjoy your garden.
