we've had a lot of rain here in Maryland, and my lambs ear is leggy and looks almost dead at the center. should i cut it back or wait and hope the sun will revive it? (if we ever get sunshine back!)

Prune your lamb's ear back and hope for sunshine. If the roots are healthy you should see new growth in a few short weeks. In the meantime, we'll hope for sun so the soil can dry out! Best wishes with your lamb's ear!
