The Q&A Archives: soggy tomatoes

Question: hi,im planting tomatoes and our second tomatoe was soggy when we picked it,we had to throw it away.whats up with that?

Answer: If you see no insect holes or signs of disease on your tomatoes, the only reason for them to be soggy is overripeness. Try picking just before they are completely ripe and let them ripen on the kitchen counter for a day or two. Hope you have a great harvest!
