Answer: Because the adult is a moth, they are very difficult to control. Bt works against the caterpillar stage (but won't penetrate the buds of your plants so will only work if sprayed directly on the caterpillar). Removing and destroying the affected flower buds will reduce the next generation; frequently cultivating the soil beneath the plants will expose the pupa to the elements and predators.
