The Q&A Archives: scalped lawn--what to do

Question: For the first time in many years now we have a geen zoysia lawn growing--we got a new lawn mower--first time out we did something wrong and scalped a section of the lawn--any suggestions as what to do the bring it back. Thanks

Answer: Thank goodness zoysia is resilient! It will come back in time, or you can take healthy plugs from other parts of your lawn and pop them into any bare spots. While it is still on your mind, go out and adjust the mower so it cuts higher! Best wishes with your lawn.
