The Q&A Archives: tomatoe plant turning yellow

Question: I bought a potted tomatoe plant as my local HD and now it is turning yellow starting at the bottom and working up. What's up?

Answer: Overwatering is the most common cause of yellowing leaves, especially with a new plant. Allow the top of the soil to dry out between waterings. I hope it recovers soon!
