I bought a potted tomatoe plant as my local HD and now it is turning yellow starting at the bottom and working up. What's up?

Overwatering is the most common cause of yellowing leaves, especially with a new plant. Allow the top of the soil to dry out between waterings. I hope it recovers soon!
