The Q&A Archives: Flower Bulbs sprouting cycles

Question: I recently planted a number of bulbs, Echinacea, Freesia & Ranunculus; I wasn't sure when/if to expect any sprouting. They are potted in Organic soil with Organic fertilizer and bone meal.

Answer: All of your plants are summer bloomers so you should see sprouts within a week or two of planting. The only thing that might retard the growth is if they are planted too deeply. If you followed the planting instructions and if the bulbs were fresh, you should see green growth soon. Best wishes with your new plants!
