The Q&A Archives: Hostas

Question: My hostas are turning a little yellow w/browning on the edge of leaves??? What is my problem?

Answer: The symptoms may indicate natural aging of the leaves, a sign of stress from overwatering, or if the yellowing goes all the way down the stem of the leaf, it could indicate crown rot. If you can easily pull the leaf from the plant and the leaf stem is mushy, crown rot is the problem. Hope this information helps you determine just what the cause of the yellowing leaves might be.
