I love Irisis and lilies, and currently have a few I planted from bulbs this year. Will they regenerate next year, what is the correct care through the heat and then winter cool? I am from the North so gardending here in AZ is very different.

Irises grow well in Phoenix when planted under decidious trees where they get sunshine early in the spring but shade in the summer months. One of the nicest displays I've seen is at Boyce Arboretum where they are growing in just such a site. They will flower year after year. Lilies may or may not return each year even if you dig and store them. It's usually easier to replace them each winter with healthy new bulbs. Your mileage may vary, though, so you can just leave them in the ground and see if they resprout for you next spring. I hope so!
