Our rose of sharon shrub looks like it is dead; no leafs. The bark isn't dead though, so is there a chance it will come out or not? |
Sounds odd to me! Rose of Sharon is sometimes slow in leafing out but by mid-June it should certainly be showing some new growth. If the bark is not dead I think there is still a chance. Just give it a little more time. If in a couple of weeks it still is not leafing out, try pruning it back a little. Sometimes pruning will encourage new growth. I hope your rose of sharon wakes up soon! |
