Sounds like you are doing everything right but you didn't mention whether or not you have fertilized. New sod won't need to be fed right away (it was fed before it was harvested and shipped) but mark your calendar so you remember to feed it this fall. The roots of the sod need to make good contact with the soil so make sure it's doing that. You can test by trying to lift up a section of sod. If it comes up easily, the roots have not grown down into the native soil and you should rent a roller, fill it with water and roll your lawn. Aside from the roots becoming established, there's not much else you can do. Your sod will grow as soon as it has become established. Good luck with your landscape.
