how do you pick collards and kale to ensure that will continue to grow leaves

Collards are a type of kale and have the same growth habit. The outer leaves of both collards and kale can be picked when they are 8"-10" long and eaten fresh or cooked. Just pull back and down on each outer leaf to harvest. Enjoy!
