I am 12 years old and i want to start a Vegetable Garden. I don't know what to plant. What is good to plant at this time of the year?

There are two vegetable gardening seasons in Scottsdale; February and September. Not many plants will be able to grow and thrive if planted in June, unless you provide them with afternoon shade. Even then, the heat can really hurt the plants and stop them from growing. But if you'd like to try, you can plant bush beans, cantaloupe, eggplant, pumpkin, summer squash, watermelon, winter squash. They will produce in the fall. Be sure to shade your young plants. Good luck with your garden.
