The Q&A Archives: Flower Name

Question: What is the name of the flower that is like a daisy with white petals and the center is purple?

Answer: Osteospermum, the African Daisy, has flower colors that range from medium purple petals with black-purple centers, to pure white with black-purple centers. The African daisy prefers full sunshine and will grow in dry soils. It's sometimes called the 'freeway daisy' because it's planted so heavily along the highways of California.
