I read a label on an Easter Lily stating it was very poisonous to cats. Are daylilies also poisonous to cats as well? I would love to include them in my garden, but not at the expense of my cats health. Thank you, Michelle B.

Some daylilies can be toxic if plant parts are eaten by cats. However, most cats don't eat them. Instead, they like to walk through the plants and hide and play. You can check with your Vet. For the most part the poison is in the dose. If your cats do not consume a large quantity of daylily leaves and flowers, the plants should not pose a threat to your cats if you decide to plant them in your garden.
