my tomatoes leaves are yellow -- am i not watering enough?

It is normal for some of the oldest leaves toward the bottom of the plant to yellow and fall off. If only the oldest leaves are affected, it's nothing to be concerned about. If new foliage is yellowing, it can be due to overwatering. Water deeply but infrequently, allowing the top of the soil to dry out slightly between watering. Best wishes with your tomatoes!
