| Tomato plants need to mature before they can flower. Believe it or not, size doesn't really matter! The cells just need to mature before warm weather and sunshine will trigger flowering and fruit production. You don't need to pinch the plant back, but if it is outgrowing its garden spot you can. I would be inclined to just stake it up and allow it to grow. The more branches it has, the more potential there is for fruit. Just be a little more patient with your plant and I'm sure it will reward you with tons of fruit. Enjoy! |
