The Q&A Archives: mildew on my roses

Question: i live in the mountains and have alot of mildew on my 50 rose bushes. what can i use that won't kill the ladybugs?

Answer: You can control mildew with a neem oil based product such as Rose Defense. If you follow label directions and time your sprays properly, lady bugs should be fine. An alternative is to prune out all of the infected plant parts and spray the roses with a baking soda/water or milk/water solution. Best wishes with your roses.
