I want to attach some wires to the exterior walls and plant something like a vine to grow up it. Maybe a multiple cris cross patern. do you know of any places the would have photos of this type. what types of plant?

Wires will work if they are just strung vertically and you choose a plant that will scramble or cling to itself as it grows (bougainvillea, for instance), or you can erect a trellis. There are lots of design magazines and books you can thumb through at your local library for ideas. And, here's a publication from the Universif of Florida with details about suitable vines:
