The Q&A Archives: tree vines

Question: my neighbor's tree has vines attaching to my trees and covering all of my shrubs how can I get rid of the vines on my side

Answer: I'd start pruning at the property line and then pulling the vines out from your trees and shrubs. If it is a weedy vine you can paint the stub as soon as you make your pruning cut with a vegetation killer such as Round Up. If it is an ornamental vine, skip this step because it will kill the vine on your neighbor's property and you don't want to be responsible for that! Best wishes with your landscape!
