Anyone who has ever dealt with the dreaded oxalis will empathize with you! There is no product on the market that will effectively kill oxalis in a St. Augustine lawn. About the only way to win the battle is to pull out all of the oxalis you see. Knowing that you will be leaving some roots and some seeds, apply a pre emergence herbicide to keep the seeds from germinating and be sure to pull out any weeds that emerge from the roots of the oxalis that were left in the ground. If you are persistent all summer long you will control the pesky weed. Be sure to reapply the pre emergent in the fall and again in late winter or early spring. By this time next year your St. Augustine should be oxalis free. Best wishes with your turf!
